Prentice Institute Speaker Series
Young adults are currently the loneliest demographic in Canada and other Western countries, and the economic consequences of loneliness in young people are increasingly being recognised. In this this presentation, the speaker will share the key findings of a recent Knowledge Synthesis report completed for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) that takes stock of the available evidence and highlights gaps and areas for future research on the economic impacts of loneliness and the effectiveness of interventions to reduce loneliness in young adults across the life-course.
