In a world where opinion has become equal, if not ascendant to, evidence and data, how does policy fare? In this virtual panel, presented by the Prentice Institute, scientists and policy makers will discuss how data is, and is not, integrated into public health policy. Speakers include Dr. Danièle Behn Smith Deputy Public Health Officer – Indigenous Health with the BC Office of the Provincial Health Officer; Dr. Matt Bowes, Chief Medical Examiner for the Province of Nova Scotia; and Dr. Tamara Daly, Professor of Health Policy and Equity at York University, the Director of the York University Centre of Aging Research and Education, and the Director of the SSHRC Partnership Grant Imagine Aging. Panel will be moderated by Prentice Institute Director, Dr. Lars Hallstrom.
