Patricia Macklin is the Program Manager for the Institute, and provides oversight and implementation of the Institute’s funding streams for affiliates, as well as contributing to the implementation of the Institute’s research; Knowledge Synthesis, Translation, and Exchange; and other operational projects. A graduate of the University of Alberta, she has an MSc in Rural Sociology, and has a long history of working in both academic and government settings, including time within the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the Government of Alberta, and the Alberta Centre for Sustainable Rural Communities.
